Hollow Glass Microspheres for Adhesives

Hollow Glass Microspheres for Adhesives
Hollow glass microspheres are high-performance functional fillers widely used in adhesives and sealants.
They help reduce viscosity, improve flowability, lower curing shrinkage and enhance dimensional stability.
With low density, good chemical inertness and excellent thermal insulation properties, they are suitable for silicone, epoxy, acrylic, polyurethane and synthetic rubber adhesive systems.
These microspheres can also reduce resin consumption, lower formulation cost, improve lightweight performance and support low-VOC adhesive products.
Hollow glass microspheres are lightweight, hollow, high-strength glass spheres with an excellent strength-to-density ratio. They are widely used in adhesives including silicone, epoxy resin, acrylic, polyurethane and synthetic rubber systems, bringing a range of outstanding properties:
  • Spherical particle effect: Low specific surface area and low oil absorption reduce resin consumption and lower adhesive viscosity. It improves flowability and processability. The isotropic property avoids warpage and shrinkage caused by uneven internal stress after curing.
  • Inert glass composition: High chemical stability. The filler will not react with substrates or other ingredients, compatible with multiple formula systems.
  • Hollow spherical structure: Low density realizes lightweight formulation and cuts volume cost. Low thermal conductivity provides thermal insulation performance.
  • Micron particle size: Improves rheology and thixotropy (anti-sagging). Graded spheres fill gaps to raise filler loading and reduce VOC. The powder features good dispersion and anti-agglomeration.
  • Extra functions: Creates matte/textured surface, enhances abrasion resistance and improves dielectric properties.
  • White powder color, offering excellent compatibility for color matching.
