Soda Lime Borosilicate Hollow Glass Microspheres are high-performance lightweight functional fillers specially developed for various sealants and adhesives. Featuring a unique hollow spherical structure and stable soda-lime borosilicate glass composition, these microspheres integrate low density, high mechanical strength, excellent chemical inertness and outstanding dimensional stability, making them an ideal modification additive for silicone sealants, polyurethane adhesives, epoxy bonding agents and industrial caulking materials.
Different from conventional heavy mineral fillers, the ultra-light hollow structure effectively reduces the overall density of sealant and adhesive products, realizing lightweight formulation optimization. It significantly lowers material consumption, reduces product shrinkage and deformation during curing, and improves surface flatness and finished product yield. The smooth spherical particle shape ensures excellent fluidity and dispersion in colloid systems, avoiding agglomeration and sedimentation, which greatly enhances construction smoothness and coating coverage efficiency.
With stable borosilicate glass properties, the microspheres deliver superior water resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and aging resistance. They do not chemically react with adhesive and sealant substrates, effectively improving the weather resistance, thermal stability and anti-aging performance of cured products. Meanwhile, their rigid closed-cell structure optimizes the internal stress distribution of colloid layers, enhances bonding strength, crack resistance and impact toughness, and extends the service life of sealing and bonding structures in long-term outdoor and harsh working environments.
In addition, these hollow glass microspheres possess good thermal insulation and sound insulation performance, which can effectively reduce the thermal expansion coefficient of sealants and adhesives. They are widely applicable to architectural waterproof sealants, automotive bonding adhesives, electronic potting glues and industrial sealing materials.
